WATER SYSTEMS ENGINEER
Bachelor of Engineering (Honours), Environmental Engineering, Murdoch University
Rhys joined OneStone Consulting in 2018, having previously worked for Murdoch University as a Research Assistant assessing the feasibility of decentralised water supply systems in regional Western Australia.
He has experience in sustainable water systems planning and design, hydraulic and water balance modelling, instrumentation and control for water systems, and a range of field-testing expertise including water quality, aquifer performance testing and pipeline flow and pressure testing.
Rhys uses hydraulic modelling software for a range of applications including conducting water hammer analyses on water supply pipelines and wastewater pressure mains, hydraulic design of borefield water supply networks, pump station control system analysis, and security of supply assessments for potable water distribution systems.
He enjoys developing a thorough understanding of how water systems work from both a strategic and hydraulic perspective and using modelling software to solve the client’s problems.
Rhys is currently undertaking further studies in the field of Water Engineering and loves to spend time in nature – in the ocean surfing, in the bush mountain biking, or working on the family farm.
