OneStone is pleased to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with Augment Expert Systems to formalise a partnership between the two companies. Augment Expert Systems are specialists in applying data analytics, artificial intelligence, machine learning and the internet of things to industrial systems.
Through the formation of the partnership both companies will be able to leverage off each other’s strengths to provide enhanced services to the water industry. OneStone brings in-depth knowledge of the operation and hydraulics of water systems and Augment brings a broad set of skills and tools for optimising systems and processes.
The formation of the partnership has occurred on the back of Augment assisting OneStone in developing a system to link a dynamic digital model of a water network with a Programmable Logic Controller (PLC). The FluidSpace I/O™ simulation system was first put to work for the Belmont Pump Station Control System Upgrade, which has involved installing and programming a new PLC to operate the pump station with a newly designed control philosophy. The simulation system has allowed the code for the PLC to be developed and tested on an accurate and real-time simulation before implementation into the real system. This has resulted in reduced downtime on the pump station and interruptions to the live water supply network, and significantly improved efficiency in the development of code for the PLC.
Augment and OneStone are looking forward to working together on new projects to enhance the operation and efficiency of many more water systems.
